Pay It Forward is a major fund-raising campaign under the auspices of the UP CMC Foundation, Inc. The campaign was initiated by the Alumni and Faculty Members, who share the concern that the quality of communication and media educations may be aversely affected if the State University’s budgetary restrictions continue.
The goal of its campaign is to provide a solid financial base to UP CMC so that it will remain true to its prestige as the premier academic institution on communication and media studies. The drive targets Php50 million initially by the end of 2010. This fund will be used for the renovation of exiting facilities in the Main Buildings (Plaridel Hall and Annex), and to modernize and equip the studios in the new Media Center (Broadcast and Film Buildings) with the state-of-the-art facilities. Part of this fund will be used to provide incentives for faculty and staff recruitment, retention, growth and development.
